More Sales

On Monday I went to my dad's office.  I sold about 75 boxes, about one third of which was cookie share.  Lots of competition now, so its harder to sell, but asking for military donations really helps boost my total.

I did a few phone calls yesterday and sold 10.

Today I called someone at my dad's office and sold one to a friend at school.

Fun fact of the day: Shortbread were the first Girl Scout cookie and you cooked them yourselves and then sold them.

First day of Sales!

Sorry I wrote this on the 27th but I forgot to post it.

Yay! Today's the first day of sales and I'm off and running.  Military donation letters have been sent.  Thank you cards are being made.  Let's get this goal of 1200 cookies to a good start!  Everyday I will try to post what I have sold.  When booth sales start, February 15, expect to see an increase of sales.  My first sale was from a friend from my brothers Cub Scouts.  She got a Mango Creme, a Thin Mint, a Thanks-a-Lot, and a Lemonade.  My second sale was from my neighbors, and they got 4 Caramel deLites, 2 Lemonades, 2 Mango Cremes, 2 Thin Mints, and they donated a $5 donation to the military which gave them a tax-deductible receipt.  My third sale was to one of my mom's high school friends from Facebook, and she got a Mango Creme,  a Shortbread, a Thin Mint, and 3 Peanut Butter Patties.
Free shipping for ordering cookies!
And don't forget about a tax-deductible receipt for donating to the military!

Today's totals

Operation
Girl Scout
Cookie Share!

January 27, 2013

Hi!

I am a Cadette Girl Scout named Hannah Takasuka, and starting January 27, 2013, I will be taking up the challenge of collecting Girl Scout cookies for the military through the Girl Scout program, Cookie Share.

The Girl Scout cookies that are donated will raise the spirits of the men and women serving our country. Girl Scout cookies are one of the most top requested items by the service men and women.

I have a large goal fundraising goal for Cookie Share. Last year, our troop distributed over $2500 in Girl Scout cookies to the military. I have set myself a personal fundraising goal of $1000. I would greatly appreciate your help in reaching this goal because I want to be able to give out more cookies this year than last year to see more happy faces of the military members and their families. It was so much fun to giving out the cookies this year. The military and their families were so happy to get the cookies that were donated.
If you donate the Girl Scout Cookies to the military, you will get a tax deductible receipt, and I will include an acknowledgement of your support at our next cookie share distribution.
Below are some pictures of my troop, 778 distributing 1140 boxes of donated cookies to Marine Battalion 3/1 in 2012. I am the girl with the left.

Thank you for taking time to read my letter. As one of my sponsors, I will let you know how my troop and I do.

Sincerely,
Hannah Takasuka
